A variety of farm products is mentioned, including wheat, oats, chickens, and "crops." The name John Carmichael appears in the majority of the accounts. The volume also contains recipes making for ink, medicinal remedies, pills, cough syrup, ointment, almond butter, reducing swelling, curing scurvy, etc.
